(NewsNation) — As officials from Israel, Hamas and the U.S. continue negotiating the details of a possible peace plan, NewsNation's Robert Sherman traveled into Gaza at one of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation’s aid sites.

Traveling to the southern portion of Gaza, Sherman accompanied officials with GHF to see firsthand how the organization was working to assist about 6,000 people who were seeking food and medical care. NewsNation's access to this aid site marks the first time an American television network has seen the Saudi Neighborhood GHF site. The GHF is backed by the Israelis and the Americans.

Inside the aid site, thousands of Gazan women gathered to receive, many with young children in tow. Many of the people there told Sherman things like they don't like Israel because of the way the war has been carried out for the last two years, but also that they don't like Hamas for putting themselves in this situation. The dangers are daily inside Gaza.

“Our mission at GHF is to feed people in a way that Hamas or anyone else cannot steal, divert, or loot our aid. We have zero diversion. We put our aid directly into the hands of Gazans who need it. There is an ongoing Hamas threat," GHF aid distributor said.

Frontlines: End of war in Gaza comes down to Hamas

Two years into the war, much of southern Gaza remains rubble. The Gaza humanitarian Foundation, admittedly, is a controversial one. It has received widespread condemnation from American allies and NGOs, who criticize the fact that they use private security contractors and believe that the group doesn't have the ability to deliver aid to enough people in an efficient manner.
