(NewsNation) — Legendary bodybuilder and former actor Lou Ferrigno paid tribute to his late friend Hulk Hogan following his death last Thursday.
Ferrigno joined "Elizabeth Vargas Reports" on Thursday to discuss the Hulkster's legacy and President Trump's revival of the Presidential Fitness Test and the expansion of his Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition.
"He was such a great personality, like Moses," Ferrigno said of Hogan. "He put wrestling on the map. ... He gave so much to mankind. He's going to be really missed."
Ferrigno also hailed Hogan for his generosity toward fans and for paving the way for future WWE superstars who became household entertainment names in their own right, such as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and John Cena.
"He gave 100%. That's why his legacy is beyond imaginable," Ferrigno added.
Ferrigno, who played comic book hero The Incredible Hulk in the CBS television series through the 1970s and '80s, praised President Trump for his focus on increasing fitness for young Americans in schools.
"I think it's great, because we need that. We need better nutrition, motivation," Ferrigno said.
"Because kids sit on the couch. We get lazy. We have to get them off the couch and make America healthy again."
