Explosion at Harvard Medical campus Saturday morning was 'intentional'

(NewsNation) — Agencies are investigating an explosion at a Harvard Medical School building Saturday morning, which arson investigators say was "intentional."

According to the Harvard Crimson, the explosion took place at the Goldenson Building in Harvard’s Longwood Medical Campus.

A Harvard University Police Department officer was dispatched to the building shortly before 3 a.m. and observed two people fleeing the scene.

The Boston Fire Department Arson Unit responded to the scene and determined that the explosion was intentional.

The Boston Police Department did a sweep of the building and found no additional devices.

No injuries were reported in connection with the explosion.
