(NewsNation) — Police in Lexington, Kentucky, have identified the suspect in a shooting at a Kentucky church that killed two people and injured a state trooper.
The Fayetteville County Coroner's Office identified the suspect as Guy House, 47. House was shot and killed by police on the scene. The shooting is being reviewed and officers placed on administrative leave per department policy.
According to authorities, House shot a Kentucky State Police trooper at the Blue Grass Airport after being pulled over, wounding the officer.
House allegedly fled the area, with law enforcement catching up to him at the Richmond Road Baptist Church.
He allegedly opened fire and hit four people, killing Beverly Gumm, 72, and Christina Combs, 34. Two male victims were also injured. Police are not releasing their names for the sake of the victims and their families.
House reportedly has a criminal record, but no motive for the shooting has been released. The investigation is being taken over by the Kentucky State Police.
